Motorola Q Information

Motorola CEO Ed Zander stated that the Motorola Q would make its public debut next week. Zander said the reason it’s taken so long to release the phone is that it is a “complex” device and has needed to go through multiple iterations.

Engadget is also reporting the release date of next week.

Turns out Motorola has just announced that they will be releasing the Q “next week,” a week which turns out to include May 22nd among its numbered days. The EV-DO phone will be out first for Verizon and Sprint, but there should be a Cingular UMTS version out by the end of the year

The new Motorola Q is 50% thinner than other smartphones. It features a large, vibrant 2.4” color screen, voice activated dialing, a 1.3 megapixel camera with photo lighting, mp3 and video capabilities, stereo speakers and web surfing capability.
